
A new adjustment of the tourist tax in Milan comes into force from April 1, 2026,
with the most significant change being the increase in the charge in five-star hotels to 12 euros
per night. The decision was taken by Resolution 144 of February 12, 2026 by the
Municipal Council and is the second change in tariffs in a few months, after
the so-called "Olympic" increases implemented from January 1, 2026.
The new regulation is part of the 2026 state budget, which provides
Municipalities have the option to further increase the tourist tax by up to an additional 2 euros
per night.
